8,500 Private Flights Took Off From Sweden Last Year, Emitting 35,000 Tonnes of CO2, Oxfam Says: Last year, 8,500 private flights took off from Sweden. Every two hours, they emitted as much carbon dioxide as the average Swede produces in an entire year, according to a report by Oxfam.
