Inquiry slams years of government failure before rushed fishing ban

A lower house committee has scrutinised the Tasmanian government’s decision to ban people from fishing sand flathead across a large part of the state’s south. It found the government failed to properly manage the species for years, before rushing through the ban without proper consultation.
