MERCEDES-Benz Malaysia has opened pre-bookings for the all-new electric C-Class, with the C 300 4Matic electric AMG Line Plus carrying an estimated price starting from RM360,888.
The electric saloon is the first fully electric version of the German marque’s C-Class, one of its established model lines.
The model has a claimed driving range of up to 690km under the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), supported by an 85kWh battery and 800-volt electrical architecture.
It supports DC fast charging at up to 320kW, allowing up to 290km of range to be added in 10 minutes under suitable charging conditions.
An optional 22kW-capable onboard AC charging system is also available.
The dual-motor 4Matic all-wheel-drive system produces a combined output of 310kW and 800Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from zero to 100kph in 4.5 seconds.
The vehicle also features a two-speed transmission on the rear axle, designed to balance acceleration and efficiency at higher speeds.
Inside, the electric C-Class features a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen stretching across the dashboard, alongside a panoramic roof with 162 illuminated stars and a 470-litre boot.
A front storage compartment provides an additional 101 litres of capacity.
Safety and driver assistance features include up to 27 cameras and sensors, parking assistance with a 360-degree view and up to 11 airbags.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia chief executive officer and president Martin Schulz said the introduction gives local customers an electric alternative while retaining the C-Class’s established characteristics.
The model is also offered under the company’s Agility+ financing programme, with estimated monthly payments starting from RM3,988, subject to prevailing interest rates and terms and conditions.
