Sentral Reit’s profit inches up

KUALA LUMPUR: Sentral Reit’s net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2026 (Q3 FY26) rose 0.7 per cent to RM19.82 million from RM19.69 million in the corresponding quarter last year.

Its revenue for the quarter increased 0.7 per cent to RM48.58 million from RM48.26 million previously.

For the nine months ended Sept 30, 2026, net profit grew 0.5 per cent to RM59.71 million from RM59.43 million a year earlier, while revenue rose 1.6 per cent to RM145.68 million from RM143.42 million.

Sentral Reit’s manager Sentral Reit Management Sdn Bhd said the year-to-date performance was supported by higher portfolio occupancy, improved rental rates and higher finance income, which helped mitigate increased property operating expenses.

Its portfolio occupancy rate improved to 90 per cent as at Sept 30, 2026, compared with 86 per cent in the corresponding period last year, marking six consecutive quarters of improvement.

Of the 124,000 sq ft of net lettable area due for renewal in the first nine months of 2026, representing 5.8 per cent of its total net lettable area, 84 per cent of leases were successfully renewed.

Sentral Reit chairman Tan Sri Saw Choo Boon said crossing the 90 per cent occupancy mark reflected the appeal of its well-connected properties as tenants increasingly sought quality office space.

“Arcoris Mont’ Kiara is contributing to revenue meaningfully, and recycling capital from Wisma Sentral Inai has strengthened Sentral REIT’s balance sheet,” he said.

He added that the REIT remained committed to building a more diversified and resilient portfolio.

As at Sept 30, 2026, Sentral Reit’s total assets stood at RM2.6 billion, with its net asset value per unit improving to RM1.1169 from RM1.1144 as at Dec 31, 2025.

Chief executive officer Tay Hui Ling said the Reit was well positioned to pursue selective, accretive acquisitions to further diversify its portfolio and support sustainable growth in distributions to unitholders.
