#SHOWBIZ: DOLLA makes history as first Malaysian girl group to rock Paris: KUALA LUMPUR: DOLLA brought Malaysian pop to a European stage for the first time on Oct 24, with a landmark performance at The A Music Festival at the Paris Event Centre.

The girl group drew a crowd of around 2,000 fans, many of whom travelled from across France, the UK, Germany, and Italy just to catch the show.

As the first Malaysian girl group to perform in Paris, the event marked a massive milestone for the trio.

Giving European fans their first taste of their high-energy stage presence, the group powered through a 12-song set list.

The lineup featured their latest single “UGLY,” alongside fan-favourite hits such as “Impikan,” “Bad,” and “Bad Girls Like You” featuring Tobii.

“This feeling is incredible, and this is such a meaningful opportunity for us to finally get the chance to perform on a European stage for the first time. This is a moment we’ll always remember,” said Angel.

The crowd’s warm reaction made a lasting impression on the members.

“What surprised me most was how warm and supportive they were,” Sabronzo shared.

“Their energy was so infectious that I really didn’t want the performance to end. It felt so special to be welcomed so warmly so far from home.”

Angel also recalled the crowd lighting up the hall with their phones during one of their tracks, even though some were hearing the song or the Malay language for the very first time.

“The atmosphere in the venue felt like a dream. It’s one of those memories I hope to experience again and again,” she said.

Tabby added that the successful gig was down to sheer hard work from both the group and their crew.

“The audience was incredible! I’m so proud of us and our team for putting on such a great show after pouring so much effort and energy into preparing,” she said.

“This is the first one, and hopefully there will be many more.”

Reflecting on the emotional moment after stepping off stage, Tabby admitted: “I almost cried because I was so proud of us, seeing and hearing our hard work appreciated by the audience in Paris.”

The two-day festival showcased top musical talent from Southeast Asia and Korea, with DOLLA standing out as the only Malaysian act on the bill.

On the opening day, they shared the stage with Thai performers JASP.ER, 4EVE, and Tobii, Korean artistes TRENDZ and Jacob, and the Philippines’ ALAMAT.

Away from the main stage, DOLLA made the most of their time in France.

They teamed up with local dance crews for collab videos, even filming choreography with the iconic Eiffel Tower in the background.

They also hosted a fan meet-up at Trocadéro with members of iDOLLA France, who gifted the group a handmade book filled with personal messages.

“Knowing that our music has reached this far and touched people so deeply that they came to watch us perform, learned our choreography, and even joined us for dance recordings and fan meetings around Paris is truly incredible,” said Sabronzo.

During their stay, the group also dropped in on representatives at the Malaysian Embassy in Paris to discuss potential future cultural collaborations.

This triumphant Paris debut marks an exciting new chapter for DOLLA, leaving the group eager to return to European shores in the near future. #DOLLA #MalaysianPop #GirlGroup #ParisEvent
