KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected over several Malaysian waters, particularly off Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan, until 2pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In an advisory issued at 10am today, MetMalaysia said the warning covered waters within 24 nautical miles off Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.
The department said adverse weather conditions could generate strong winds of up to 50kph, with rough seas and waves reaching 3.5m.
A separate thunderstorm warning was also issued for shipping activities in the waters of the Malacca Strait, Samui, Tioman, Sulu and Palawan.
