A total of 28 hawker centres across Singapore will close for one to four days from Sept 14 to Sept 20 for cleaning.According to the National Environmental Agency, such cleaning is conducted regularly so that Singaporeans can enjoy affordable food in a clean and hygienic environment.The hawker centres undergoing cleaning include Maxwell Food Centre, Whampoa Drive Makan Place, Yuhua Market and Hawker Centre, among others.
