PASIR MAS: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today handed over a RM200,000 mock cheque for the maintenance and restoration of Madrasah Ar-Rahmaniah Ad-Diniah at Pondok Lubuk Tapah here.
The allocation was part of the 2026 Maintenance and Restoration Project for Islamic Educational Institutions in Kelantan.
The mock cheque was received by the madrasah’s chairman, Datuk Dr Luqman Abdullah.
The financial assistance is expected to support maintenance and repair works at the religious institution.
Anwar also spent about 30 minutes at Luqman’s home before performing the Maghrib prayers.
The Prime Minister was on his one day working visit to Kelantan.
Later tonight, he is expected to attend another programme called ‘Sebarkan Salam’ at the state mosque in Kota Baru.
