Bill Clinton: CIA Told Me Taking Out Bin Laden too Risky

Former President Bill Clinton said the CIA called off a pre-9/11 plan to capture or kill Osama bin Laden because the agency feared an unsuccessful operation could kill innocent civilians. “I had authorized the CIA to try to take him out,” Clinton said Sunday.
