SHAH ALAM: Police are investigating a suspected trespassing incident involving a group who entered a private rehabilitation centre in Bukit Kuda, near here, and removed several inmates without the management’s permission.
Klang Utara police chief assistant commissioner Ramsay Embol said police received a report from the centre’s owner on Oct 28, claiming that a group of unidentified men and women had entered the premises and taken several inmates away.
“Police confirm the incident and the case is being investigated under Section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass,” he said in a statement today.
Ramsay advised the public against speculating on the case, saying this could affect public order and disrupt police investigations.
Those with information about the incident can contact the Klang Utara District police headquarters at 03-32919614 or the investigating officer, Sergeant Amirul Ashraf Abd Rahim, at 011-69730086.
Earlier, a 38-second video circulated on social media showing several individuals, believed to be inmates, leaving a rehabilitation centre in Klang.
