Canadian teens score well on OECD tests, but sharp drops in reading, math raise concerns

Canadian teens have strong knowledge of science, reading and math, according to a major international assessment, but the OECD’s latest PISA results also indicate a long-term slide in test scores for all three subjects, plus a steep drop for the latter two in more recent editions. That downward trend — part of a decline also seen in teens worldwide — is raising concerns.
