Cape Breton hit by over 200 millimetres of rain, leading to washouts and flood risks

Torrential downpours have dropped up to 200 millimetres of rain on Cape Breton, causing washouts and flooding in Richmond County and Eskasoni. While eastern and central Nova Scotia face ongoing rain and gusty winds, western areas will see milder temperatures and occasional sunny breaks over the long weekend.
