Experts warn of risks of dietary supplements as sales rise sharply

The benefits of giving the body extra magnesium, iron or vitamins are promoted in ads and on social media. But taking supplements without knowing whether you really need them carries risks. At best, you’ll just pee them out, but it could be much worse than that, says pharmacist Annika Svedberg.
