Fury as workmen rip out community garden after residents spent five years transforming fly-tipped alleyway with fruit trees, wild flowers and picnic benches

Locals cleared the fly-tipping, planted flowers, shrubs and fruit trees to grow apples and pears, and even cultivated a mature grape vine with the aim of creating their own speciality wine.
