Giant underwater Kelvin wave could ‘pack a punch’ for B.C. in mid-October

A giant underwater wave of water connected to this year’s El Niño weather pattern is making its way up the west coast of the Americas, raising alarm bells amongst scientists worried about how climate change is magnifying the impacts of the naturally-occurring phenomenon.
