KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has issued an order allowing Datuk Seri Najib Razak to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest following the payment of his RM50 million fine.
Najib’s lawyer Muhammad Farhan Muhammad Shafee confirmed that the payment was completed this morning.
He said the house arrest order was issued pursuant to the royal pardon and would be delivered to Kajang Prison immediately.
However, he said further procedures had to be completed before Najib could be released from prison.
