Italy approves electoral law guaranteeing parliamentary majority to alliances winning over 42% of the vote

Italy approved a change to its electoral law on Thursday. The new law guarantees a parliamentary majority to the alliance that receives more than 42 percent of the vote, which the opposition says favors Prime Minister Meloni and her right-wing coalition.
