Kelantan Sultan urges graduates to become job creators, not job seekers

BACHOK: University graduates should shift their focus from seeking employment to creating job opportunities by harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) and the digital economy, which are increasingly transforming the conventional employment landscape.

Sultan of Kelantan Sultan Muhammad V said Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) graduates, in particular, should view these changes as opportunities to venture into entrepreneurship, develop new business models and create jobs.

His Royal Highness said the entrepreneurial values instilled at UMK should encourage graduates not merely to become job seekers, but also to become architects of opportunities and job creators.

“Master the digital economy and smart technology to develop new business models, pioneer cross-border e-commerce and modernise local market supply chains.

“UMK must be at the forefront of driving artificial intelligence guided by the values of ethics, integrity and trustworthiness,” he said.

The royal address was delivered by Tengku Mahkota Kelantan Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra at UMK’s 16th Convocation Ceremony at Dewan Tuanku Canselor, UMK Bachok, here today.
