MARKET PULSE AM NOV 2, 2026 [WATCH]

Bursa Malaysia opened lower today, with the FBM KLCI slipping 0.15 per cent, or 2.39 points, to 1,613.21.

Investor sentiment remains cautious, with attention centred on the technology sector amid concerns over speculative investments in data centre infrastructure and upcoming earnings announcements from technology companies.

Uncertainty surrounding the US midterm elections on Nov 3 and the possibility of renewed US attacks on Iran are also keeping investors on the defensive in the near term.

For today, the benchmark index is expected to hover within the 1,610 to 1,620 range.

Meanwhile, cryptocurrencies traded mixed, with Bitcoin hovering at RM317,003, while Ethereum stood at RM9,224.

That’s it for Market Pulse.
