Microlink gets 12 month extension, RM60mil extra for advance passenger screening contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Microlink Solutions Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Microlink System Sdn Bhd has secured a RM59.58 million contract extension from the Home Ministry for the Advance Passenger Screening (APS) system to be used by the Immigration Department, bringing the total contract value to RM137.92 million.

The 12-month extension will run from Nov 6, 2026 to Nov 5, 2027, extending the overall contract period to 36 months from the original 24 months.

“The additional scope under the extension covers continued application services for the onboarding of additional airlines, infrastructure services, software license renewals, and support and maintenance services for the APS system,” said Microlink in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

The original contract, valued at RM78.34 million, was awarded in November 2024 for the design, development, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of the APS system.

Microlink said a supplementary agreement would be signed with the ministry to formalise the extension. The subsidiary is required to furnish a performance bond in accordance with the terms of the contract, said Microlink.
