KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Sekolah Menengah Agama Nahdhah Hasanah in Melele, Kodiang, after it emerged as the top-performing school in Kedah in the 2026 Sijil Tinggi Agama (STA) examination.
In a post on X today, Anwar said the school’s achievement was undoubtedly underpinned by the exceptional dedication of its teachers and the sacrifices of parents.
“I share in the joy of the great achievement of the students of SMA Nahdhah Hasanah. This success is certainly driven by the extraordinary guidance of teachers and the sacrifices of parents. May they continue to excel, Insya-Allah,” he said.
SMA Nahdhah Hasanah, which has been in operation since 1946, was visited by the prime minister on June 17, 2023, in conjunction with the school’s diamond jubilee celebration.
In the 2026 STA, the school recorded a School Average Grade (GPS) of 2.79, with 100 per cent of its students qualifying for the certificate.
