KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actress Linda Rafar has shared an emotional tribute to her late son, Rezaimen Keiflin Keifli, as the family prepares for the wedding of her eldest surviving son, Rezaril Keifli, this weekend.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Linda addressed Rezaimen, affectionately known as Memen, to share that his younger brother, Aril, is getting married tomorrow.
She said she was certain Memen would have been delighted to witness the occasion.
“Memen, Mama wants to tell you something. Aril is getting married. Mama is so happy. If you were here, you would surely be happy to see your best friend getting married, wouldn’t you?” she wrote.
The former Elite member admitted that the approaching nuptials had stirred mixed feelings, leaving her overjoyed for Rezaril while deeply grieved by the longing for the child she lost.
“If only Memen were here, everything would feel complete. He would surely be busy with Aril, joking around and celebrating his happy day alongside his other siblings,” she said.
Rezaimen passed away in July 2014 at the age of 12 following a battle with a chronic abdominal tumour.
He was Linda’s son from her first marriage to former race car driver Keifli Othman.
She later married actor Syed Aiman in 2006, with whom she has three sons.
Linda added that she was trying to stay strong while continuing with the wedding preparations, despite knowing her late son’s absence would leave an irreplaceable void.
She expressed hope that the wedding would go smoothly and prayed for strength to navigate the emotional days ahead.
“Mama misses you, Memen. I miss you so much,” she added.
Rezaril, 26, will tie the knot with his fiancée, Nur Izzati Syafikah, fondly known as Ika, in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, tomorrow.
Linda previously shared that his decision to marry had moved the entire family to tears, noting how rarely she had been apart from him since his infancy.
