The University of Illinois Chicago issued a warning about police activity at a student center early Wednesday afternoon.
Police were on the scene at Student Center East, 750 S. Halsted St., in the second-floor walkway between rooms 605 and 606.
UIC advised anyone on campus to follow instructions from university officials or local authorities, and anyone off campus to avoid the area.
The university did not provide specifics about the police activity.
