UN report warns freshwater reserves are declining as Earth’s water cycle falls out of balance

The Earth’s water system is out of balance. Freshwater reserves are declining and most rivers have not been in balance for the past seven years, a new UN report shows. The main message is that water availability has decreased in recent years, says SMHI hydrologist Yeshewatesfa Hundecha.
