MELAKA: Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh has completed his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) through Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s (UKM) Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Qualifications (APEL.Q) programme after 2 years of study.
In a Facebook post today, Ab Rauf said the official Senate confirmation letter was presented to him by UKM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Sufian Jusoh, accompanied by a university delegation, during a visit to his residence in Kampung Pulau, Masjid Tanah, last night.
He said his research, titled Digital Technology Management Among Traditional Village Communities: An Analysis of the Melaka Digital Village Initiative, focused on efforts to harness digital technology among traditional village communities to help them navigate the digital transformation.
“For me, knowledge is not merely about obtaining a degree, but must be translated into benefits and change for the people.
“I dedicate this achievement to the people of Melaka. This is not merely a personal accomplishment, but a tribute to Melaka and my commitment to continuing to strengthen the Digital Village initiative for the people’s future,” he said.
Ab Rauf also expressed his appreciation to UKM staff, lecturers and the research team for their guidance, support and cooperation throughout his research.
He said the findings would be published in a journal to serve as a reference and source of inspiration for future generations, particularly in advancing the digitalisation agenda among rural communities.
