SHAH ALAM: Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) in Klang is taking steps to improve patient service following an incident involving a patient’s family member and hospital staff.
The Selangor Health Department said it took seriously the incident involving complaints about service at the hospital’s Paediatric Emergency Zone, which went viral on social media.
It said an internal probe had been conducted into the incident, which occurred on Nov 2.
“Following the investigation, improvements have been made to strengthen communication and ensure prompt, attentive and professional responses to the needs of patients and their family members.
“HTAR appreciates public feedback and is committed to ensuring healthcare services are delivered with respect, compassion and professionalism,” it said in a statement today.
A post went viral on Threads earlier about a woman who was unhappy with the treatment her child received from a nurse and medical assistant at the hospital.
