HONG KONG: Popular TVB stars Him Law and Rosina Lam recently visited Kuala Lumpur to attend the 2026 Power Of Pink breast cancer and wellness event, where they later spoke to local media about their upcoming projects.
Law, 42, shared that he felt privileged to work alongside legendary actress Anita Yuen for the first time in the upcoming drama I Only Live Twice, a story centered on betrayal and revenge. When asked if the 55-year-old actress had personally picked him for the role, Law clarified that she had not, though she was very happy to team up with him.
Reflecting on his past work in productions such as Divas In Distress (2012), The Witness (2020), and Happily Ever After (2024), the actor admitted he was glad to avoid any romantic scenes this time round.
”I don’t have any intimate scenes this time. It’s a relief, as I’ve filmed quite a few over the past few years,” he said.
Without the need to stay camera-ready for romantic roles, Law added that he could take a break from his strict fitness routine.
”This time, I can relax and not worry about keeping in shape. I can put on weight if I want,” he said with a smile.
Meanwhile, Lam spoke about her own demanding roles, describing her character in the new show as intense: “It is a role that pushes my boundaries as an actress, so I hope audiences will look forward to it.”
When asked if she hoped to reach the top five shortlist for Best Actress at the TVB Anniversary Awards, Lam kept a modest outlook.
”Just having the opportunity to take on new roles and challenge myself is enough,” she said.
Lam also revealed that she is currently filming a new drama alongside Ron Ng.
Although the pair have been friends for over ten years, this project marks their first time starring together on screen.
Beyond acting, Lam mentioned she has recently started learning about artificial intelligence (AI) and exploring how it might be used.
”I personally believe that technology does not conflict with the core work of an actor,” she said.
